On 29th March 2009, the Chinese Top 500 Companies in IT Application (IPOWER500), organized by National Informatization Evaluation Center,  released results on its annual conference in Beijing. COSCO took the second place of the list and Mr. Li Jianhong, VP and CIO of COSCO Group, named as the IPOWER500 Best CIO.

Besides, COSCO HQ, COSCO Container Line, COSCO Bulk Carrier and COSCO Shipyard won Group Achievement Award of Informationization, IT Governance Award, Excellent Team Informationization Construction Award and Best ERP Application Award respectively.
