In the evening of March 27th, the 30th Anniversary Celebrating Resumption of Sino-US Maritime Trade was grandly held in Long Beach Port at the United States. The event was co-organized by China's Ministry of Transport and the U.S. Department of Transportation and jointly sponsored by COSCO and the Long Beach Port Authority. Mr. Li Shenglin, Chinese Minister of Transport, Mr. Zhou Wenzhong, Chinese Ambassador to the United States, Capt. Wei Jiafu, President & CEO of COSCO Group, Mr. James Caponiti, Acting Deputy Administrator of the U.S. Maritime Administration of the Department of Transportation, and other members attended the event. Capt. Wei gave a warm speech, which recalled COSCO's M.V. LIU LINHAI's maiden voyage to the U.S., the cooperation course of maritime trade between China and the U.S. and introduced the development of COSCO in the United States of the thirty years. Capt. Wei's speech was highly recognized by the attendees.
